EazyDiner Foodie Awards 2017 held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram

It has been a proud moment for The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts as it bags top honour at the 2nd edition of EazyDiner Foodie Awards 2017 held at The Leela Ambience Gurugram. Amidst the gleam and glitz, The Leela Palace won this accolade for culinary excellence in the capital region.

While The Leela Palace New Delhi’s all day dining restaurant – Qube was awarded with the Vir’s Critic’s Choice Awards for ‘Best Sunday Brunch’, its famed French-Italian restaurant – Le Cirque clinched the People’s Choice Awards for ‘Best European Restaurant’. The Leela Ambience Gurugram’s general manager, Michel Koopman, was selected ‘General Manager of the Year’ in Vir’s Critic’s Choice Awards and its all day dining restaurant – Spectra –won the People’s Choice Awards for ‘Best Café.’

Around 400 guests, consisting of top hoteliers, restaurant founders and key CEO’s made their august present at the event that recognized and honoured the awards to the best and the brightest – restaurants and chefs, for having made outstanding contributions to the dining experience of the Delhi-NCR region.

The EazyDiner Foodie Awards are announced annually in two distinct categories – the coveted Vir’s Critics’ Choice Awards and the EazyDiner People’s Choice Awards. In the Critics’ Choice Awards, India’s celebrated food connoisseur, Mr. Vir Sanghvi draws attention to the city’s unparalleled and ‘must experience’ dining venues, while the EazyDiner People’s Choice Awards is based on the votes received from the guests voting for their favourite restaurants.

Emcee Gitika Ganju along with leading stand-up comedian Papa CJ hosted the evening at Pearl Ballroom.

EazyDiner was launched by Vir Sanghvi in collaboration with India’s top hoteliers and restaurateurs. It is an online restaurant reservation platform that offers a curated guide to an extensive range of dining options, expert reviews, recommendations, deals with every reservation, insiders’ tips and an exclusive dining concierge service. Within a period of 24 months of its operation, EazyDiner has grown to 9 cities, including, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Chennai, Kolkata, Goa, Ahmedabad and a significant presence in Dubai.

In an attempt to make the Foodie Awards the most credible in the country, The People’s Choice Awards process is validated by KPMG before announcing the winners.
