Nikon is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year on July 25th. This has been announced by Nikon India which is a 100% subsidiary of Nikon Corporation, Tokyo. Nikon was first formed as Nippon Kogaku K.K. in 1917 and ever since then it has providing its customers world over with unique value, based on its opto-electronics and precision technologies.
The leader in imaging technology takes this opportunity to thank its customers and everyone that has a stake in its success for the support it has received in the development of the company during this period. To commemorate its 100th year of operation, the company has established the Nikon 100th Anniversary logo and also a special Nikon 100th website.
Nikon proudly states to be a part of a legacy that has pioneered the optical technologies in Japan and overseas and has cultivated the status since 1917. It is guided by its corporate philosophy of “Trustworthiness and Creativity,” and has been providing a wide range of technologies, products and services globally for the last 100 years with the help of its advanced technologies, the core of which encompasses opto-electronics and precision technologies.
The Nikon 100th website that it is introducing offers contents that will show the celebrations of Nikon’s 100th anniversary, such as a special movie and a documentation of its history of the past 100 years. Nikon with time will keep on adding more content to the site and make available information related to Nikon’s celebration of its 100th anniversary.
To mark the occasion, Kazuo Ninomiya, Managing Director, Nikon India said that the completion of 100 successful years has indeed been a big milestone and that it takes immense pride in that.
